Learning to be Buddies

The name of this site comes from a series of children’s books I am writing.  These books are written to support the social and emotional development of children.  The series is called Learn to be Buddies.  If you want to know more about the series, you can visit www.learn2bebuddies.com.au.

However, this blog won’t be specifically about the books.  It will be about sharing my experiences in working with children, with a focus on sharing what worked and what didn’t work with regards to behaviour management.

I am an early childhood/special education teacher, but am currently working as a university lecturer and tutor.  I am helping to educate undergraduate teachers about working with children who have disabilities, including children with behaviour or emotional difficulties or disorders.
